| CHECKLIST BEFORE INSTALLATION |
- Ensure installed damper sections conform to TAMCO Damper Installation Guidelines, which are included with shipment.
- Damper mounting angles should be sized to allow side bracket to sit directly on the damper frame.
- Loosen 1" diameter collars on shaft to allow stress-free alignment upon installation.
- Jackshaft can be mounted so as to drive a two (2) section damper from either the left or the right side.

| JACKSHAFT INSTALLATION PROCEDURE |
- Place complete jackshaft on damper. Attach side and bridge brackets on pre-drilled damper frames using ¼" hardware provided. (If required, remove the jackshaft crankarm to allow the shaft to fit through the duct work.)
- Slide the actuator end of the jackshaft to the required dimension. Ensure that the opposite end of the jackshaft ends beyond the last blade clip. (Refer to drawing for position and alignment of connecting rod.)

- If required, loosen the blade crankarms and realign with factory-installed blade clips on the damper blades. Re-tighten the blade crankarm fasteners. Ensure that both blade crankarms are aligned with each other.)
- Insert the free end of 5/16" diameter connecting rods into the swivel of the blade crankarms. Position the blade crankarms at 45°, downwards and away from the closed damper. Tighten swivels to connecting rods. Refer to drawing for position of blade crankarms.)
- Cycle the damper manually and ensure that both sections seal correctly.
- If adjustment is required, reposition the connecting rod in the blade crank arm swivel so as to allow both sections to close fully.
- Re-tighten the swivel and verify damper closure.
- Repeat adjustment procedure if necessary.
