REFER TO STANDARD CONFIGURATION SHEET FOR APPLICABILITY
NOTE:
Minimum height of duct opening for installation of the damper jackshaft is 11½" for "Flanged to Duct" and 15" for "Installed in Duct".
For shorter duct opening heights down to 4¼" ("Flanged to Duct") and 6¾" ("Installed in Duct"), special non-jackshaft blade-to-blade joining is possible. Driven blades are connected by the use of U-bolts and hex rods which span the sections.
Side & bridge brackets and blade clips are die-formed 10 ga. CRS steel.
Shaft is 1" diameter solid steel rod.
Jackshaft and blade crankarms composed of stamped arms welded to machined collars.
All steel components are zinc-plated.
Medium-duty bearings are pre-greased and equipped with grease nipples.
Jackshafts are pre-assembled and ready to mount in pre-drilled holes with provided fasteners
Jackshafts are mounted directly over the drive blade in order to reduce the length of the 5/16" diameter steel connecting rod. The shortness of the rod prevents flexing and adds to positive control.
Jackshafts can be mounted so as to drive a
two (2) section damper from either the left or right side.
Optional jackshaft bridge coupling allows for the driving
of a four (4) section damper from either the left or right side.
